Latam Catering was founded in 1968 by Gilbert and Josephine Morejon. Starting out with a restaurant on Columbus Drive and Armenia, they served hundreds of customers who stood in line around the building ready to eat some of the ethnic specials of the house. Our Paella, Picadillo, Stuffed Lobster and Agliano Steak are some of the most desired dishes, even up to today.
In 1994, David Morejon Sr. relocated the restaurant to the Centro Asturiano Building, renaming the restaurant “Latam at The Centro Restaurant and Bar.” While growing the restaurant with our luncheons and in house catered events, David had expanded the business during the past 17 years by adding mobile catering kitchens and a catering liquor license to meet the needs of our customers by having their meals cooked fresh at their venue off-site. Latam Catering offers traditional and ethnic cuisine from our expensive menu, which is perfect for any occasion, small or large, formal or informal.
In May 2012, David Morejon Sr. purchased a 12,000 square foot building to strictly focus on catering. With our new state of the art kitchen, we will be able to keep providing fresh delicious meals, as we have been providing for the last 44 plus years.
